Updated: By popular demand, I’ve updated this post to include a link to the PDF of the Advent Storybook, that way I don’t have to send emails off to everybody. All you have to do is click on the following link and you can get the storybook. Enjoy!
Our Christmas Advent Storybook
Original Post:
It’s that time of year that I’m especially trying to focus on the coming of the Savior. I’ve got my nativity up in the most prominent spot in the living room. The Christmas tree will come later this week. The wreath is on the door welcoming all.
Our family has been trying to have family scripture study faithfully. This month we are doing an advent calendar of the prophecies leading up to Christ’s birth.
Here’s our advent scripture study schedule. I’ve linked to the Book of Mormon or Pearl of Great Price scriptures. Due to time, I’ve not yet linked to the Bible. If you need an online Bible, feel free to go here, and you can find each scripture listed.
Along with the scriptures, we are reading short vignettes that share experiences of Christmas past. I can’t find the original website where I found the Advent Storybook. It’s in pdf format with Christmas stories from General Authorities and other members. If you want it, leave me a comment and I’ll email it to you.

Thanks for the great idea, Jaime! My four-year-old and I made a paper chain and wrote each of the scripures on a link for us to study each night as we count the days ’till Christmas. The only change I made was adding the scripture that recounts the fulfillment of Samuel the Lamenite’s prophecy (3 Nephi 1:4-21). We put that link second to last on the chain. THANKS AGAIN!
PS I would like to see the Advent Storybook also, please.
