So I was running out to a job interview last week. I was going to be late, and doing this with baby is a whole new experience. I didn’t check my diaper backpack before leaving. Big mistake.
We get to the day care for the interview, and she has a huge mess in her diaper. It’s all over her clothes and smelly. Now I can’t go to a day care interview with my child looking like this! Luckily I had stuff scattered all over my car to fix the situation. But why chance it??
Now my backpack has this:
The 1 gallon bag easily holds 3-4 diapers, a sandwich bag of wipes, a cloth diaper, and a spare outfit. I keep additional bags in my car, my husband’s car and the cabinet at church. Never will I be fumbling for the necessities again.
Shannon at Rocks In My Dryer has asked for our Classics posts today. Unfortunately this is only my 2nd post, but I think it’s a dang good idea! I hope it works for you, as it has saved me. Visit her site for many more fabulous ideas.
GENIUS!!!!
I’m seriously putting one together first thing in the morning.
Very clever, and very handy! I like the idea of having an emergency pack like that in several locations!
good idea! It’s always the worst when you’re out and don’t have the necessary supplies!
We had bags like this in both our cars when our kids were still in diapers. And it’s a good idea to keep a change of clothes for the kids that are just toilet trained for those occassional accidents.
Great idea! I keep an extra diaper bag in the car, but I like this one better. It can’t get wet! thanks. 🙂
Way to be prepared! That is a wonderful idea!
I will definitely pass this on to my daughter. She has a two month old and already experienced the “I’m out of diapers” at the doctors office. Perfect!
I love this idea! I have a tiny bag with diapers and wipes, but no room for a change of clothes. The gallon size bag would definitely work better, and I could tell if it needed restocking. (Yeah, my back up back has been in need of a back up bag!)
