Rockin’ B’way

So there once was a girl, who fell in love with a boy

And then came the Baby Girl, and thus ended dates as we know it

But they were a happy family.  And then they went to a church service auction

And bid on babysitting.  They won!

Here’s what they did with the recent nights of babysitting. . .

manhattan_lds_mormon_temple2and then. . .

olliesThat was Date Night #1. . .

Date Night #2 was a *gasp* overnight date. . . Dan kept saying we were going to:

taco-bellNow I’m a fan of chalupas and all, but not my idea of a decadent night. . .

Dan surprised me with dinner here:

nizzaDon’t believe the negative reviews.  It is by far my new favorite GF restaurant.  The Bibb & Gorgonzola salad is to die for, and the lamb is delish!

Then he took me to

in-the-heights-7991071It’s my new favorite musical.  I listen to the tracks in the car, singing Vanessa’s parts at the top of my lungs.

That was all a month or so ago. . . On Saturday, he surprised me again.

NewYorkAquariumWe spent the afternoon here, watching. . .

walruses-ny-aquarium-mdand getting kisses from

websiteosbornOk granted that’s Dr. Bob. . . Dan didn’t get a pic of mine or Ava’s kiss.

It was the fishiest kiss I’ve ever received. 🙂

After a few hours there, we went to

01beachAfter tears that Ava couldn’t spend more time in the waves, we got

SmConeTwistCone + little girl’s hair = huge mess!

When we got home, we got Ava ready for the next babysitter.

Again Dan swore we were going to

taco-bellBut really we went to. . .

nizzaAnd again I had Bibb & Gorgonzola & the lamb with asparagus and mamaliga

But this time there was this on the table

Peach-Roses-1dzAnd then we had tickets to see

rock-of-ages-3-751645Amazing night with Whitesnake, Poison, Asia, Journey, and the gang.

Thanks Honey!

How cool that you found me at Segullah! What have you been up to since 1995? Phil and I live in North Port, FL and have two girls and a boy. Phil is working as a Senior Environmental Specialist and I am a stay at home mom trying to homeschool when I can get my own nose out of a book. Let me know about you and your family,

    Hi,
My husband and I were married in the Manhattan temple. Did you take this picture? We love it and can’t find it anywhere else online. If it’s yours, we were wondering if we could get permission to use it in our home. An email back would be great, and if it’s not yours if you could tell me where you got it I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!
    Britney
