Life is grand. This is the story of a new family, a recently married couple and their honeymoon baby girl. Life throws at you some fastballs, and then some curveballs.

Just be glad you didn’t try to get on I-78 yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. I understand some of the people who did are still stuck.

I was off work yesterday, though at first they told us to report at ten. Alisa was off from class too. Today was a normal schedule despite some ice on the roads (and cars.) There wasn’t the usual 8 a.m. rush on the freeway, so I managed to get to work on time, even after having taken time to clear off my car, etc.

How majestically awesome! The silence must have been so inviting and calming.

I’m sure it was. Having pieces of “wintry mix” fly at you on the freeway isn’t exactly inviting or calming, though.

And there are circumstances where silence isn’t too reassuring, like for me ten years ago this week in the Arizona desert.
