Ava and the Burpies

No, this is not some new pop band….

Ava sits back and watches Daddy eating breakfast, making smiley faces at her, and keeping her attention on him. She sees him drink his Dr. Pepper, and then this sudden, loud, obnoxious sound eminates from his mouth. Ava looks on with utter trepidation and anxious curiosity. Daddy smiles more at her, in an obvious attempt to distract her from his mistake of making his burpie loud, but she won’t have it. She continues staring at him with a grim face.

Meanwhile, Mommy gets Ava’s attention with her wonderous ways. Then Mommy lets out one of those loud obnoxious noises too, though nowhere near as loud as Daddy. Ava had enough and she starts crying. “That mean noise comes from both parents!” she wails.

For the record, it was not a loud obnoxious noise. It was barely heard, definitely a demure eructation.
