What is this world coming to?

*Zidane headbutts Matterazzi, knocking him to the ground. Justice may come in if FIFA strips him of his Golden Ball Award due to violent behavior.

*Mumbai’s trains are attacked, once again on the 11th of the month. There’s a roadside bombing at least every day in Iraq.
*Israel and Palestine are basically at war. The Sudan is a mess.

*Missionaries are raped and robbed in South Africa. Who knows how many women are trafficked each year?

There are days that I hate reading the news. There just isn’t good news in it most of the time. We’re told that the Lord will come again, and prior to His Second Coming there will be wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, etc.

The only consolation I can find is that there will be an end to the violence during the Millennium. Good will triumph over evil and the world will be cleansed and returned to it’s paradisaical glory. I know I’ll be ready for the peace.

About jaimeanne

I'm me. Graphic designer extraordinaire, urban master teacher of social studies, former adjunct professor, high school principal, and now most importantly-- Mom to the cutest little girl ever. I try to live by the quote, "Work like you don't need money, Love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching." I believe in Christ, and sometimes I'm just trying to figure out what He wants me to do. This blog chronicles that journey.

Don’t forget today’s big story. Israel and her neighbors are still not tired of bloodshed and are willing to go to war over prisoners.
