Dear Dad,

Dear Dad,

I know I’m only 2 and can’t really type yet, but I wanted to make sure you knew: I love you, Daddy.

I love how we play on the train each morning, watching the airplanes, trains and trucks.

I love how we walk through downtown Manhattan. I know sometimes I want to wander away, and be the big girl. Thank you for always holding my hand; I know it keeps me safe.

I love how we go to the BMW dealership and test out cars. Everyone thinks two is too young to begin looking at cars, but you know how I love the car that’s just my size.

I love how we reach for the trees on the way home. Ever since Mama taught me about trees and leaves, I always want to touch them. Thank you for humoring me, even just once in a while.

I love that you take me to the swings, the slide and the beach on the weekends. You know I love the water, the sand and the wind in my hair. And going down the slide has always been fun for me.

I love the time I spend with you.

Happy Daddy’s Day!

Love,

Ava
