Is there a better way to start the season? The only better option I can think of looks like this:
Yankees 15, Red Sox 0 in Yankee Stadium, and we’ve got tickets behind home plate.
Addendum: To ensure my dear husband’s happiness, he would be watching the Giants win in San Francisco the next day. . . Heck, Barry can even hit a few homers if he wants, since we’re dreaming.

so…in other words, a better way for you to start the season is to have you sit cheering behind home plate while your husband be sad?

This is why I’m glad neither Alisa nor I cares that much about sports these days.

Honey– now be serious. You know you’d be rooting for the Sox to lose if they were playing the Giants. . . It’s not a zero-sum game.

I was just going to mention the Giants….
Yeah, what a great way to start out the season. The pitching didn’t totally suck, and A-Rod didn’t choke. Woo hoo!

I’m surprised to hear A-Rod is doing so well. We’ll have to hold out and see how he does as the season progresses.
I have to say once again how totally excited I am about the SWB Yankees. Yankees on the local news every night now– and I don’t have to go that far to see a good game. That’s excitement for my little heart.

It was a joke Jaime. When I see you happy, I am happy. And that includes sitting behind home plate with the Yankees beating the Redsox 15-0.
In other words, I’ve got my priorities in order.
And yeah, we’re going to go to a SWB Yankees game sometime this summer.

Just for the record, honey, I knew it was totally a joke. I didn’t want others to think I was a cold-hearted snake.

I’m so happy that baseball season has started. I got to go to Spring Training this year and it was amazing. My bf and I are going to the Astro’s/Phillies game this saturday in Philly. I’m wearing my Astro’s jersey!

Bonnie,
That sounds like fun. We probably won’t get a chance to go to any MLB game this year, but I think we’ll go to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Yankees sometime this summer.
