A Great Weekend

Standard

I had a great weekend with my fiancee. We had the chance finally to go out, something our schedules has not let us do in some time. We ate at Penang, a fine Malaysian food restaurant in the Upper East Side of New York. We also shopped for new clothing for us, clothing we are going to use for our engagement picture. We also made it pretty close to official that I am going to move to NY rather than have her move here to RI. I like this move. She LOVES this move. :)I am not keen on living in New York City for too long—safety, car and parking issues, too much noise—but it is something very doable for the next little while.

so that’s the update…

Newswise, no Pope yet. I am curious to see what further direction this world takes towards the end. I don’t know why I have to live in such a time of war and hatred and violence. I wish sometimes I didn’t. I wish we humans would remember who we are, that we are sons and daughters of God, that our family is eternal and glorious, and that Jesus has taught us to love one another, not hate one another. But it seems Satan has a good grasp on this world, and from Bush on down to Bin Laden, and everybody in between who proposes warfare have forgotten who they are.
